PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically update a route key used to confirm the validity of a digital certificate in an authentication processing in a client server system. SOLUTION: The client server system performs authentication by a system of an SSL, etc. using the digital certificate utilizing a public key code when a communication is established between a client device and a server device, and communicates via a communication route established in association with the authentications. An apparatus for digital certificate management is connected to the client server system to constitute a digital certificate management system for automatically updating the route key of the server device and the client device. A processing (processing 4) for transmitting the public key certificate to the server device is performed in this updating processing after a processing (processing 2) for transmitting a new route key to the client device.
