PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric driving unit for welding equipment in which a guide device combining the detent of a pressing shaft and the bearing function for the shaft is disposed in parallel along the axial direction of a motor and thus the whole length of the driving unit is further shortened and the unit is miniaturized, and the straight advancing and retreating movement of the pressing shaft can surely be obtained. SOLUTION: In the electric driving unit for welding equipment, the pressing shaft 3 driven with the motor 1 and having a portion drawn into the motor is provided and a holding hole 4 for a part of the pressing shaft is formed in the rotating shaft 2 of the motor and a movement conversion device composed of a screw and a nut for converting the rotating movement of the rotating shaft into the reciprocating movement of the pressing shaft between the rotating shaft and the pressing shaft is disposed in the motor. The guide device 9 combining the detent of the pressing shaft and the bearing for straight movement of the shaft, is disposed in parallel along the axial direction of the motor and one end side of this guide device is connected with the pressing shaft to constitute the unit.
