PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel core for a run-flat tire for guaranteeing the stable travel of an automobile even after tire blowout. SOLUTION: In the steel core for the run-flat tire, seats 31R and 31L that are positioned near beads 21 inside the tire 20 and regulate the separating movement of the beads 21 from a rim wheel 10 are formed on both sides in the width direction, and a support section 33 for receiving vehicle weight at a flat run time is formed between sidewalls 32R and 32L erecting from the seats 31R and 31L on both sides. A high-tension steel plate having 590-1280 N/mm<SP>2</SP>of tensile strength and 10% or more of elongation is used as a material, and the core is molded like a ring mounted to the outside of the rim wheel 10.
