PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the edition or the like of additional information to be added to the data recorded on a track by memory management with high efficiency. SOLUTION: When data such as video or sound from a data inputting means 1 are recorded in a record memory means 6 in a track unit, a memory means 8 in a control means 12 is used to edit and determine the additional information such as the title to be added to the track. The additional information is stored in the recording memory means 6 regardless of whether or not the corresponding track of the determined additional information is present in the record memory means 6. Then, a control means 12 once reads the additional information stored in the record memory means 6 at optional timing after recording of a track to be added has been completed and reflects the read additional information on track management information in the record memory means 6.
