The narrow gauge film projector has a selector by means of which the film feed sprocket mechanism may be slowed to below the normal operational speed. A sound drive system (24) is used to synchronise the film (10) past the sound head (26). A switch system (42) is provided for selective operation of the projector with or without the sound system. A locking device is provided to switch in the time loop mechanism when the sound head and system are engaged, and vice versa.
