<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which enables a user to comfortably form images including color images without financial concern by displaying information about the charges required to form the images prior to forming the images. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device has a charge calculation and display means for calculating and displaying the charges required to form images prior to forming the images.
