PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network phone system or the like whereby security on a network can be strengthened in spite of a simple configuration. SOLUTION: At initial installation, a master unit 3 acquires all MAC addresses from IP phone terminals 2-1 to 2-n connected to a LAN 1 and stores them to a storage section therein, and manages the MAC addresses and terminal IDs stored in the storage section in cross-reference with each other and informs the IP phone terminals 2-1 to 2-n about the terminal IDs to allow the IP phone terminals 2-1 to 2-n to register the terminal IDs. Then, when an access request is sent from the IP phone terminals 2-1 to 2-n to the LAN 1, the IP phone terminals 2-1 to 2-n transmit the MAC addresses and the terminal IDs to the master unit 3, and the master unit 3 checks proprieties of the IP phone terminals 2-1 to 2-n by utilizing the terminal IDs and the MAC addresses of the IP phone terminals 2-1 to 2-n stored in the master unit 3.
