A thermoplastic vulcanizate comprises four components (A,B,C,D), i.e. a thermoplastic plastic (A), a non-crosslinked polyethylene (B), a partially vulcanized rubber (C), and a plasticizer (D), in which apart from the conventional ingredients the mixture contains 5-20 wt.% of A, relative to the total weight of A-D. An independent claim is included for the preparation of the thermoplastic vulcanizate rubber in which (C) is fed unvulcanized into a roller or worm extruder with plasticizer (D) and the ingredients (E) are mixed to give a mixture devoid of plasticizer and a crosslinking agent or system. |
