Collar (20) plates (2) on a line, each receive inverted bottles (B), the neck protruding downwardly. A displacement mechanism (3) moves the plates along horizontally in succession, with the bottle necks dipping in refrigerant. A grip (4) reaches over the trough, lifts the plate and the bottles it supports, together. A mechanism (50, 51) inverts the grip, bringing the bottle upright. At the same time it moves along to deposit the bottle on the transfer mechanism (6). A conveying system (7) returns empty collar plates for re-use.</p> |
