PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an olefin resin foam suitable as a dielectric layer of high-frequency coaxial cable, containing no polar component and having fine and uniform foamed structure and high expansion degree. SOLUTION: The olefin resin foam constitutes the dielectric layer 2 of a high-frequency coaxial cable comprising an inner conductor 1, the dielectric layer 2 and an outer conductor 3. The olefin resin foam is obtained by incorporating 100 pts. wt. of an olefin resin such as high-density polyethylene with 0.1-3 pt(s). wt. of flaky talc 0.1-15μm in mean particle size as a foaming nucleating agent and carrying out an expansion using an inert gas such as nitrogen gas with the nucleating agent as foaming agent.
