PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil conditioner which is excellent in handleability and is safe with less danger although a strong acid comprising sulfuric acid is used therein, can be uniformly mixed with soil easily, allows sulfuric acid to penetrate into soil more mildly to give a greater effect than in the case in which sulfuric acid is used in a liquid state, and can be used for multiple purposes. SOLUTION: The soil conditioner has a constitution wherein sulfuric acid is kept in the pores of a diatomaceous earth or a zeolite so that the sulfuric acid can be handled as a powder.
