PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a siphon type rainwater draining device capable of extremely efficiently draining a large quantity of rainwater by the siphon action in heavy rain neither causing cost increase nor impairing the appearance of a house. SOLUTION: Either a siphon type rainwater draining device having such a constitution that the upper end of a siphon tube 3 having an opening area as much as 2-20 cm<SP>2</SP>vertically arranged along the external wall member 1b of the house is connected to the bottom of the eaves gutter 2 attached to the eaves front, or a siphon type rainwater draining device having such a constitution that the upper end of a siphon tube having an opening area as much as 2-20 cm<SB>2</SB>vertically arranged along the external wall member of the house is connected to the recessed bottom of a funnel is adapted. When it is a little rain, rainwater is drained through the siphon tube in free fall, in heavy rain, rainwater flows down in the siphon tube in a faster speed as much as several times than the free fall in a full stream condition in the tube.
