<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an optical recording medium by which the thickness of a recording layer can be made thick without spoiling recording characteristics and to provide the optical recording medium wherein large capacity recording can be made possible by the manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: A polyester represented by general formula (1) is contained in the recording layer. In the general formula (1), R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>each denotes hydrogen or a substituent, b1 denotes an integer of 0 to 5, b2 denotes an integer of 0 to 4, and when b1 and b2 are 2 or more, a plurality of R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>may be identical with each other, may be different from each other and may be linked with each other to form a ring. R<SB>21</SB>denotes hydrogen or a substituent, L<SB>12</SB>to L<SB>14</SB>each independently denotes a bivalent linking group, A<SB>5</SB>denotes a trivalent linking group, a3 is a value of 0.0001 to 1, a4 is a value of 0 to 0.9999, a'3 is a value of 0 to 1, and a'4 is a value of 0 to 1, wherein a3+a4=1, a'3+a'4= 1, and n1 denotes an integer of 4 to 2,000. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
