<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device in which the adjusting device is simple, the adjustment error is little, and the signal quality is stabilized by simple adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: For highly accurate adjustment of the center of light intensity distribution and that of an opening where the light is transmitted through an objective lens 7, the optical head device is characterized by comprising a photoreceptor 10 for light intensity center recognition provided with two or more split light receiving parts, recognizing deviation of the light intensity, and adjusting the light intensity so that they coincide with each other.
