PURPOSE: A mobile phone having a sound output function and its control method are provided to allow a user to select a receiver of a handset or a main speaker and freely make call communication within a certain distance range without a spatial restriction. CONSTITUTION: A baseset(10) transmits/receives a voice signal to/from a third party positioned in a wired/wireless network through a fixed line communication path, receives a sound signal from an external source, and selectively relays the transmitted/received voice signal and the inputted sound signal to a handset(20) existing within a certain distance range. The handset(20) transmits/receives a voice signal to/from the baseset(10) or receives a sound signal within a certain range according to relay of the baseset(10).
