PURPOSE: A system and a method for remotely controlling an EDM(Electric Discharge Machine) using the Internet are provided to enable an expert to perform an accurate diagnose before visiting a spot and at the same time, quickly offer measures by offering processing conditions and data of the EDM to a technology support team in real-time. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting/receiving part(11) is installed to a controller(10) of the EDM(1) and transmits/receives the electric discharge condition/data. A user PC(20) transmits the data transmitted from the controller to a maker server(30) by connecting to the Internet. A maker server is equipped with a database storage(31) storing the data of the EDM transmitted from the user PC through the Internet, and provides the diagnosis/updated data to the user PC. The technical support team(40) performs technology supports by confirming/analyzing the data stored in the maker server.
