<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direction indicator requiring no limitation at an installation position, suppressing troublesome wiring to the minimum, and to be easily installed by post-installation to the optimum position of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The direction indicator is constituted from left and right transmitters 7, 8 connected to left and right signal wires 5, 6 of the existing direction indicator; and left and right direction indicator units 9, 10 provided with indicators 9F, 10F driven and indicated by these respective transmitters 7, 8 by a radio electric wave or the like. The post-installation direction indicator units 9, 10 can be flashing-acted in interlocked with the existing direction indication control only by connecting/wiring the post-installation transmitters 7, 8 to the signal wires 5, 6 of the existing direction indicator and freely and simply installing the direction indicator units 9, 10 totally requiring no wiring at a suitable and appropriate position of the vehicle.
