PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilting controller for a variable displacement hydraulic pump capable of improving response property of tilting control. SOLUTION: This tilting controller is provided with a servo piston 3 operating by pilot pressure from a pilot hydraulic pressure source 8 to change tilting of the variable displacement hydraulic pump 1 and a servo control valve 7 controlling operation of the servo piston 3 based on a control signal from the controller 9. An assist piston 12 operating by pilot pressure from the pilot hydraulic pressure source 8 to apply force in the direction in which tilting of the pump is increased to the servo piston 3 is provided.
