<p>An optical information storage device having a housing incorporating a section for storing a plurality of optical storage media, a section for recording/reproducing information on/from the optical storage medium, and a section for moving the optical storage medium between the medium storing section and the information recording/reproducing section in which high storage capacity and compact size of the device are realized and cleaning of the device is facilitated. An optical information storage system integrates a plurality of optical information storage devices. At least a sheet of cleaning medium provided with a cleaning member for wiping off unnecessary matters from at least one surface of a disc is contained in the medium storing section. Unnecessary matters, e.g. dust or contaminants, adhering to the head part can be wiped off at the information recording/reproducing section by rotating the cleaning medium while touching the cleaning member to the head part.</p> |
