<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material which is excellent in white color properties and light fastness. <P>SOLUTION: The heat-sensitive recording material is provided with a heat-sensitive recording coloring layer, which includes a usually colorless or light-colored coloring compound, a color developing compound for coloring the coloring compound when heated, and an ultraviolet absorbent as essential components. It includes one or more kinds of compounds selected from in the specific anilinofluorane as the coloring compound and 2,2'-methylenebis[4-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)-6-(2H-benzotriazole-2-yl)phenol] as the ultraviolet absorbent respectively. Further, it includes a fluorescent whitener shown by the formula (1) in the heat-sensitive recording coloring layer.
