PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wet-type nonwoven fabric having excellent filling properties of a resin, etc., and high paper strength in spite of low density. SOLUTION: The low-density wet-type nonwoven fabric has a fiber cross section of flat shape and comprises 3-40 mass% of a polyvinyl alcohol-based binder fiber in which A/B is≥3 when the length of a long side is A and the thickness at the central part (1/2A) of the long side is B.
