摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for manufacturing an ink jet head in which the cutting surface can be formed precisely while lowering the cutting cost. SOLUTION: In an electrode substrate 11 unit before being bonded, a photosensitive dry film 55 is pasted to the surface and rear of the substrate and a cutting passage (a separation groove pattern 51) wider than a cutting blade is formed on the rear side 50a of the substrate by photolithography. Subsequently, a separation groove 52 larger than the wear volume at the tip of the cutting blade is formed by sandblasting while taking account of a cutting surface height required for assembling in next process. After the photosensitive dry film 55 is stripped, adhesive sheets 1a and 1b are then pasted to the opposite sides of a composite substrate 4 obtained by bonding a cavity plate 12 and a nozzle plate 13 and the composite substrate is cut while being adjusted such that the nozzle plate 13 is directed upward, the straight part on the end face of the cutting blade 5 is located constantly lower than the upper surface 52a of the separation groove and the forward end 5a of the cutting blade is located higher than the lower surface 52b of the separation groove.
