PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle type small vehicle enabling both separation and connecting work for the vehicle to be easily carried out by a simple constitution and further showing no damaging of an entire rigidity of the vehicle. SOLUTION: This tricycle 1 with an engine comprises: a chassis frame 4 in which front wheels 2 are arranged at its right and left ends in the way that they can be steered and a driver's seat 20 where a driver sits is supported on it; and a power unit 9 having an engine 6 and a power transmission device 7 integrally formed to cause a rear wheel 8 to be rotatably supported at the rear end of the frame. The chassis frame 4 and the power unit 9 are separately constituted. There is provided a fixing or removing means 10 for connecting or separating the chassis frame 4 and the power unit 9 to each other or from each other. A handle bar 12 and a front wheel brake operating device 16 are installed at the chassis frame 4. An accelerator operating device 47 for controlling an output of an engine, a rear wheel brake operating device 48 and a fuel tank 58 are installed at the power unit 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
