A device for determining the position of a shot (6') relative to a target field (2) includes an arrangement of two radar devices (4,5) for measuring the distance of the shot-entry point to the shot flight path of the shot in one measurement plane. The main directions of radiation of the directional characteristics of the radar devices (4,5) define the measurement plane extending perpendicularly to a firing direction, so that starting from the distance (9') as well as the measured distances (8,9) of the shot-entry point (6) from the radar devices (4,5), the position of the shot-entry point (6) can be calculated in the measurement plane (2').
