<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device capable of providing stable assist power without deteriorating return of steering at the time of returning steering at the time of carrying out steering assistance by driving an electric motor and rotating a pump. <P>SOLUTION: This power steering device is provided with a by-pass oil passage to communicate two power cylinder chambers to each other, a by-pass valve free to control an opening and closing state in accordance with a control signal from an assist steering control means and a cutting and returning judging means to judge cutting and returning of steering, and the assist steering control means outputs a valve opening command to the by-pass valve during a previously set specified period of time at the time when the cutting and returning judging means judges that it is cutting and returning. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
