PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for dyeing a human keratin material, especially artificially dyed or colored hair and dark skin while imparting a lightening effect thereto, to provide a method for dyeing the same, and to provide a device for the same. SOLUTION: The composition contains a specific fluorescent dye and a nonassociating thickening polymer, wherein an acrylic acid homopolymer, an acrylamide copolymer, nonionic guar gum, CMC, pectin and arginates are exemplified as the nonassociating thickening polymer, and a specified 2-[2-(4-dialkylamino)phenylethenyl]-1-alkylpyridinium is contained in the composition as the fluorescent dye.
