PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cassette and a tape printing device in which cost saving can be achieved by eliminating exchange work and the like as required even when a tape cassette whose width varies according to the variation of width of a film tape is used. SOLUTION: A tape feed roller 12 rotatably supported to cassette cases 2 and 3 is provided near a tape discharge portion of the cassette cases 2 and 3 in order to draw down a film tape 18 from a film tape spool 18 through an intermediate printing step. In addition, a recess is formed on top of the cassette cases 2 and 3 so as to allow a press-contact roller 49 disposed adjacent to the tape feed roller 12 to be in press-contact with the tape feed roller 12.
