<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for notifying a control station of idle channel information inspected by a transmission terminal without interfering with the communication of the transmission terminal, in a network configuration in which the communication ranges of channels used by a plurality of communication networks overlap and one another's communication is influenced. <P>SOLUTION: When the control station provides the transmission enable time to a terminal, the control station itself sets information about channel search to be conducted to a frame provided with a token and transmits the frame. Each terminal other than a transmission terminal which has received the frame determines which channel is currently investigated by the control station upon judging that there is no data to be received, and notifies the control station of idle channel information stored in the terminal in that channel, and thus, the newest channel information can be collected in the control station without interfering with the communication of the transmission terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
