PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tube having high stability in electrical resistance and further having wear-resistance and improved durability, as for a covering tube for a bias roll. SOLUTION: The tube is formed of polyimide-based resin containing carbon black, and the elastic modulus of the tube is controlled within a prescribed range. In this case, it is preferable that the surface roughness Rz of the tube resides within a prescribed range. Further, it is preferable that the quantity of the carbon black contained in the tube falls within a prescribed range. Still further, it is preferable that the surface resistance and the volume resistance of the tube are found within a prescribed range, and also, it is preferable that the surface resistance dispersion in the tube and the environmental fluctuation of the surface resistivity are equal to or below a prescribed value.
