PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve searching properties by searching a character string included by relevant information as a searching key word in a CAD system which correlates a model added with parameter dimensions is correlated with a list of values given to respective parameters in a systematic manner. SOLUTION: The CAD system has a modeling storing means for creating and storing a figure and a model by using parameters, a means for creating and storing the list of parameters and a form changing means as well as a means for standardizing Katakana and alphanumeric characters to be half size character (full size character) and creating and storing relevant information and a means for converting Katakana and alphanumeric characters into half size characters (full size characters) in a uniform manner and searching by using a character string included in the relevant information as a keyword.
