<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generating system for realistically expressing a display object such as a tree with a reduced processing load, and also to provide a program and an information storage medium. <P>SOLUTION: A model object MOB (the tree) having a plurality of projected part objects POB 1, POB 2 (branches) where a projection is formed at the side of the display surface with an image plotted thereon is arranged in object space. The POB 1, POB 2 are rotated, while the display surfaces are directed toward a virtual camera VC. Z texture for setting a projection/recession on the display surface with a pixel as a unit or forming a virtual projected shape on the display surface is mapped on the part objects POB 1, POB 2. When the virtual camera VC is rotated around a Y-axis and an X-axis, while being directed to a columnar part object COB (trunk), the part objects POB 1, POB 2 are rotated around the Y-axis and the X-axis, so as to allow the display surfaces to be directed to the VC. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
