PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling a monitor camera system, which allows a user to turn or zooms the monitor camera exactly by seeing its display, even if the display of a picture from the camera even there is a delay. SOLUTION: The monitor camera relates a turn instruction number instructed by a controller to a picture number taken by the camera and stores them according to this instruction. When a person in charge obtains a desired picture 3, the controller issues a finish instruction to the camera. The finish instruction data includes the picture number 3 sent from the camera. When the camera receives it, it retrieves the picture number 3 from stored picture numbers and cancels all revolving instructions received after the picture 3 corresponding to the picture number 3 is taken. If there is an already executed revolving instruction, it automatically makes a reverse revolving motion to cancel the revolving instruction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
