Method of labelling an optical disc

The method involves multiply passing over a track of an optically writable label side of an optical disc with an optical marking mechanism, such that the mechanism writes to the track at each pass. The mechanism is advanced from one track to next track of the discs label side, such that a starting position on the track is radially non-collinear with a starting position on the next track. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a mass storage device (b) a method for manufacturing a mass storage device.
