ELECTRIC-POWERED STEERING SYSTEM, INCREASING MEASUREMENT ACCURACY OF STEERING TORQUE

PURPOSE: An electric-powered steering system is provided to precisely control steering by amplifying a deformation range of a torsion bar and increasing the measurement accuracy of steering torque. CONSTITUTION: An electric-powered steering system boosts steering force transmitted to a pinion and rack mechanism by operating a motor(27) on the basis of displacement of a torsion bar(23) measured by a strain gauge(25). The electric-powered steering system comprises a steering input shaft(22) connected to a steering wheel(21); a torque-amplifying part(30) amplifying the steering torque transmitted through the steering input shaft and transmitting the steering torque to the torsion bar; a torque return part(40) returning the steering torque of the torsion bar to the original state; and a steering output shaft(24) transmitting the steering torque returned by the torque return part to the pinion and rack mechanism.
