<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the further safe downloading of software to update a function. <P>SOLUTION: When a file is downloaded from a server 2 to the information processor 1, a CPU 22 downloads the file in a bank A or bank B in a storage device 24, and copies it also to a bank C. The CPU 22 calculates the check sum of each file and the entire check sum, and stores them in a memory. The check sum in the memory 21 is compared with the check sum of the server 2, and a file having an error is downloaded again. At the end, a normal end flag is stored in the memory 21. When the information processor 1 is abnormally ended at the last time, it is started next time by use of the bank C.
