PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method of an electrode for resistance welding which conducts a reliable judgement whether the electrode is in such a condition that it can perform a resistance welding without welding failure, and which does not give a load on a welding object itself that becomes a product. SOLUTION: In the resistance welding to join a plurality of the joining objects, a plurality of the joining objects are inserted between a first electrode 10 and a second electrode 20 and joined by transmitting an electric current between the first electrode 10 and the second electrode 20. The inspection method for the resistance welding is the method to inspect whether the electrode 10 and the electrode 20 are in such a condition that they can sufficiently perform the resistance welding with the designated electric current. For every designated times of resistance welding, a plurality of test pieces are joined by the resistance welding instead of a plurality of the joining objects, and a joined portion of the test pieces obtained after the resistance welding is inspected to find whether the joining is sufficient or not.
