PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the processing efficiency at the time of encrypting and inputting/outputting data to be kept confidential between a recording device and a host device. SOLUTION: The controller of the recording device stands by, after issuing a secure command to a storage device, for the time estimated to be necessary for execution of the secure command by the storage device, and then issues the next secure command (S500). The controller of the storage device reports, when a just before command is under execution, the effect of in progress to the recording device (S508), and transfers to the next processing when the execution of the just before command is normally ended.
