PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member and a structure for simplifying and thinning the image pickup device which has a plurality of pixels. SOLUTION: The imaging optical system has a package for housing an imaging device, an imaging device having a plurality of pixels, a first light transmitting member for covering the imaging device, a lens arranged on the front surface of the first light transmitting member, and a second light transmitting member for covering the lens.
