PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent miss-detection by a fertilizer sensor caused by outdoor daylight in a fertilizing apparatus for a paddy field working machine, such as a rice transplanter, having delivering tools for delivering fertilizer in hoppers, installed in the lower parts of the hoppers for storing the fertilizer in series. SOLUTION: The fertilizing apparatus for the paddy field working machine is obtained by installing the delivering tools 16 for delivering the fertilizer in the hoppers 15, in the lower parts of the transparent or translucent hoppers 15 for storing the fertilizer in series, installing the optical fertilizer sensors 26 for detecting the fertilizer in the hoppers 15 and acting by judging that the fertilizer is lost when the light on a light-receiving surface is not shaded or reduced by the fertilizer according to the discharge of the fertilizer from the interiors of the hoppers 15, and extending light transmittance-regulating sheets 27 for blocking or reducing the invasion of the outdoor daylight from surrounding parts of the installation parts of the fertilizer sensors 26 on the outside of the installation parts of the fertilizer sensors 26 in the hoppers 15.
