PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic microscope for obtaining the texture sound velocity of each frequency in a tissue piece by transmitting/receiving one ultrasonic wave. SOLUTION: When an impulse containing a wide range of plurality of frequencies, for example 100 to 200MHz frequency band, from an impulse transmitter 1 is transmitted to an ultrasonic vibrator 2, the ultrasonic vibrator 2 irradiates a sample 5 that is placed on a glass substrate 3 and is covered with an ultrasonic wave propagation medium 4 with ultrasonic waves including a plurality of frequencies. Therefore, reflection waves of the irradiated ultrasonic waves are received by the ultrasonic vibrator 2 again. Reflection waves received by the ultrasonic vibrator 2 are received by a receiver 6 for amplification, are converted from an analog reflection signal to a digital one by an A/D converter 7, are inputted to a personal computer 8 having a Fourier transform function 8a and a sound velocity analysis function 8b.
