PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unexpected unlock during traveling in a seat slide device having a rear operating handle to release seat lock from a rear seat side. SOLUTION: An unlock plate 9 connected with the rear operating handle 11 is supported on an upper rail 2 to be movable by a prescribed distance in a vehicle body front and rear direction via two guide oblong holes 17 and 18 and guide pins 19 and 20 engaged to the holes 17 and 18. When the rear operating handle 11 is lifted upward after drawing the unlock plate 9 at a maximum limit to a rear side of the vehicle body, the seat lock is released. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
