The machine uses a transfer device (3) for portable objects (4) e.g. credit cards incorporating integrated circuits containing a memory. The machine has a rotating plate (20) whose rotational axis is inclined or parallel with respect to the transfer line. The plate is fitted with several connection parts (22i) and a card (21i) is associated with each part (22i). Each electronic card is connected to a data management system and is radially arranged with respect to the plate (20). The data management system for personalising the cards controls the card assembly.
