PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail for relatively small construction equipment, which enables the operator to safely carry out maintenance of the construction equipment when the operator climbs on a traveling crawler belt for the maintenance. SOLUTION: The maintenance handrail is mounted by vertically forming a recess in a side surface of a machine room so as to be vertically recessed inside a revolving locus of an upper revolving body as viewed in a plan, and placing the handrail along the recess so as not to protrude out of the revolving locus of the upper revolving body. Further the handrail is extended from the side surface of the machine room to an upper surface of the same.
