The aim of the invention is to reduce the voltage peaks occurring during the transitions from the spiral to the parallel plate, simultaneously improving the flow ratios in the spiral. To this end, a spiral comprising reinforcing plates which are partially located in the transition region between the spiral and the parallel plate is provided.
