PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring system of a covering depth and a measuring method of a covering depth, for easily checking the covering depth of a concrete structure even after the placement of concrete and easily checking data on the quality, etc. of reinforcing bars. SOLUTION: An RFID tag 10 allowing electronic information to be read therefrom or write thereto in a non-contact manner is provided on the surface of a reinforcing bar 2. The concrete structure 1 is built with the reinforcing bar 2 embedded in the concrete 3. A radiowave is transmitted to the tag 10 and the radiowave transmitted from the tag 10 is received thereby detecting the intensity of the radiowave propagating through the concrete 3.
