PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for photographing radiation image which stops the irradiation on an appropriate timing by detecting the amount of radiation precisely using a radiation amount detector regardless of the distance between a radiation source and a radiation image information detecting member or the distance between a patient table and a radiation image information viewing member. SOLUTION: The apparatus for photographing a radiation image is provided with a control section 19 for controlling the sensitivity of the radiation amount detector 14 on the basis of the distance between the radiation source 3 and the radiation image information detecting member 11.
