PURPOSE: A method for setting an OSD color is provided to variably set background screen colors, text colors, and cursor colors of an OSD image displayed through a screen of an outer connection apparatus to a desired color, so that a user can confirm various colors of the OSD image. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer outputs/displays an OSD image of a setup menu on a TV screen(S10). If a user selects an OSD color setup item(S11), the microcomputer outputs each setup item(S12), and performs a series of OSD color setup operations(S13). While a setup menu display operation is canceled(S14), if an OSD image is outputted(S15) at a user's request, the microcomputer retrieves/reads currently enabled OSD color setup information(S16). The microcomputer manages background screen colors, text colors, and cursor colors, and outputs/displays an OSD image having corresponding colors(S17). The microcomputer performs an operation and a function in accordance with a user's input(S18). |
