PURPOSE: Provided is a biochemical reaction cartridge, which has no pump embedded therein, uses an external pump to move a solution for carrying out biochemical reactions and has such a structure as to prevent a solution from flowing out from the cartridge. CONSTITUTION: The biochemical reaction cartridge comprises: an inlet for introducing a subject material; a first chamber(7) containing the subject material; a second chamber containing reagents for use in biochemical reactions; flow paths(10,11) through which at least one of the subject material, reagents and reaction mixture pass; and a plurality of nozzle openings(3a-3t) for housing a plurality of nozzles for use in pressurization or depressurization, In the cartridge(1), the nozzle openings(3a-3t) are communicated with the first or the second chamber, and fluids are present between the nozzle openings(3a-3t) and the first or the second nozzle opening. The nozzles perform pressurization or depressurization, resulting in movement of at least one of the subject material, reagents and reaction liquid, thereby carrying out a series of biochemical reactions in the cartridge.
