<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for recognizing the condition of distant running track correctly while ensuring a large field of view. <P>SOLUTION: A lane recognizing unit 6 recognizes the lane of a vehicle running road from a central part having the large height of an image obtained by an imaging sensor 2, a vehicle condition sensor 7 detects the running condition of the vehicle, and a danger determining unit 9 determines whether the vehicle is in a dangerous condition or not based on the lane recognized by the lane recognizing unit 6 and the running condition of the vehicle detected by the vehicle condition sensor 7. An alarm unit 10 notifies the driver of the vehicle of a dangerous condition when the danger determining unit 9 determines that the vehicle is in a dangerous condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
