PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot dip galvanized steel sheet which has excellent impact resisting performance optimum for an automobile structural component or the like. SOLUTION: The hot dip galvanized steel sheet has a composition containing, by mass, 0.03 to 0.13% C,≤0.7% Si, 2.0 to 3.5% Mn,≤0.05% P,≤0.01% S, 0.01 to 0.1% sol.Al,≤0.005% N and 0.005 to 0.1% Nb, and, if required, comprising one or more kinds of metals selected from Cr, V, Ti and B, and the balance substantially Fe with inevitable impurities. The steel sheet has ferrite with a mean particle diameter of≤5μm and a low temperature transformed phase of≤60% by volume, and is excellent in impact absorbability. After cold rolling, heating is performed in the range of Ac1 to 900°C, and, in a cooling stage after the heating, hot dip galvanizing treatment is performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
